Started in 2019 with sketchbooks with the idea of the light, I started to look at one lamp near my bed and started to stare at the object, with the thought with create a draw and a thought process, critical thought and experiment based thinking. I look to the lamp, and realised when I was outside during the day and, if i look into the sun people say it’s dangerous, so the the ideia when you look into the sun and realising it can hurt you, I close my eyes, and I remember from past experiences when you close your eyes, you still see the light even with your eyes closed for a few seconds. I’m sure the expirence it’s diferent from each individual, but in the exercise, the light kept in the look for a few seconds, so whenI was in bed with the lamp, I could used diferent light’s to diferent forms, and the realization of the conceptual idea on the dark, the only thing it could manifest is some sort, is light, in a dark room, can exists hundreds of objects and they only exist’s in manifestation of light, so I started my journey to my first series of painting called ‘‘ Light’’ and in that process I did some process thinking, I painted my Ideas represented what I felt in the moment, some series was about Joy, or Retoric, Storms, and most recently form (2023) and I allways kept most paintings with diferent types of blue. They made think of the ocean, the representation of the ocean, it cannot be taken lightly, I’m Portuguese, and for us, the Ocean represents, the counquers, the passion, the struggle, the things we project into the future and maybe sayin’g goodbye to something we maybe cannot see, the trigered feeling about our nature, family, relatives, the feeling of Saudade, it’s a true state of all of the senses, so, I created some paintings with gold for all the porpuses, the achievments, and prosper future. So this I take into the process the white and the black color, the balance of feelings, deep state and realization of our state. The sky, is the reflection of the see, also we can realize into dream, something to look up. So in this ways I have created my stories into paintings, the seasons, the colored of the feelings. Someday, I painted a 10 meter per 2 meters pre-streched canvas, With the colors choosed by many years of thinking, I painted and I let it dry for a couple of days, I had the Idea to do a 2 meters high, I started with this Idea of ‘‘Form’’ and Life Form I have painted some paitings I will show with that type of concept, I was starting to realise on the 2 meters painting, when I was seeing troght the painting, I cant discuss with people the painting with that name ‘‘Form'‘ And the question I made to myself was ‘‘ How I can disscuss form, without any sort of form, or shape?’’ So in the right will be present 4 paitings the first two was the life form paintings, the 3rd will be the Form and the 4th will be also the form because its from the same painting but the evolution and the process into thinking Form.
Into this matter I want to say, that, the forms I was inpired and used with the last paiting was, waves and wedding dresses, into this, is the realization of many thought processes and experiences.
